I'm discovering that I'm playing by default the difficult and usually unrewarding game of "catch up" .. very difficult. This is the result of a late submission of TMA 1 and underestimating just how much time would be required to review the poster presentations that are part of Activity 5.2. I realize that I'm rushing a bit in an area that does interest me but I'm forced to use strategic learning to find my way through it all .. picking out what I think is important. Funny how the fear factor undermines one's learning ... at least that seems to be a truism for me. So far? The focus seems to be on identifying qualities of a good poster or case to guide the creation of our own poster or case on elearning.
David Palfreyman's presentation in yesterday's CTL meeting was a serendipitous occasion to learn more about it. He shared a pdf on possible organization of a poster - form and content considerations. Was thinking that it might be too simple but then again.. it doesn't hurt to use that as a simple framework to start with .. especially when someone like myself hasn't had much experience with it.
Fingers crossed.
Plan of attack now?
Review Activity 5.2 .. use these to guide the work I do in Activity 5.3.
Ensure that I understand the activity thoroughly.
